“CLASS C” WATER PLANT OPERATOR/TRAINEE

This position requires being able to operate or learn to operate a Water Treatment Plant and the associated equipment, working various shifts (day, night, evening & weekends); have the mechanical knowledge to recognize if equipment is operating properly and perform necessary maintenance, repairs, custodial duties necessary to keep the facility clean and perform water quality control tests in the laboratory. Requires applicant to have, or be willing to attain, “Class C” Water Operator and “Class C” Water Lab Operator certificates which are attainable after one year of experience and necessary short schools and tests. Beginning salary commensurate with experience. An EEO employer.
